Nick Rome: Game Designer

I got into gaming at a young age, playing PlayStation 1 games with my Father. I was horrible at them of course, but I loved to watch my Dad play, and some of my earliest memories are of watching him play through Metal Gear Solid. As I grew older, my love of games only increased, and I’ve played through countless games on most systems.

Today, my interests still include gaming but my focus has shifted from video games to tabletop games, such as Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder and Fate. I love the ability to weave a story right in front of my player’s eyes as well as the ability to bring characters to life. My other hobbies include reading fiction and comic as well as creating various things in Photoshop.

I came to Drexel with one goal in mind: become a great game designer. I am on my way to accomplishing this goal but I still have a ways to go. I have worked on several games with my friends in the past, even submitting some in contests. It is my passion to make great games and to have people enjoy them.
